There are three levels of rules for playing fastball/softball in District One.

* Softball Canada Rule Book - updated every second year. In general these will take precedent over all others.

* Softball BC Rule Book - mostly administrative (leagues, teams etc) but some differences from Softball Canada.

* SVI League Rules - these are for league play only. They are not for tournaments, districts or Provincials.
